Obituary of Betty I. Teale

Betty Teale Sidney, NY Betty Teale, 90, of Sidney and formerly of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Chenango Memorial Nursing Home in Norwich. She was born January 30, 1924, daughter of the late Dewey and Josephine Decker in Deposit. Betty married Harold Teale on July 17, 1946. He predeceased her on March 16, 1982. She was also predeceased by her brother, Graden. She is survived by: her son, Douglas (Regina) of Sidney; son, Robert of Sidney; grandchildren: Jason (Michelle) Teale of Sidney and Adam Teale of Sidney; great-grandchildren: Cooper and Cameron Teale and step-great-grandchildren, Makayla and Kyleigh Phillips. Also surviving Betty are sisters: Florence Connors of Bainbridge, Bernice Hartz of Deposit, Helen Cline of Sebring, FL, and Joann (Robert) Neer of Deposit; brothers: Dewey (Dawn) of Windsor, Sherland (Joann) of Afton and Jack (Bo) of Hodgenville, KY; as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty sold Stanley products, worked as a waitress at the Dairy Bar-N and Ken's Diner, worked at Bordens and retired as an Avon representative. Friends are invited to call from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 21st at the funeral chapel with Rev. Ben Shaw officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00pm on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the McClure Cemetery, McClure, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org or to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
